Results of the digital signal analysis for preamplifier signals and of the event-by-event -energy loss correction analysis were presented. The detectors consist of five double-sided Si strip detectors (DSSSD) arranged as a box, and signals from one side of the detector at the bottom of the box were digitally processed. Energy losses of particles detected by two Si detectors at the bottom and a side differs event-by-event, because each particle passed through two dead layers with a certain tilted angle. By correcting for the energy loss of each event using the angle of the -particle emission extracted from the detected positions, we succeeded in improving the energy resolution significantly.

The entry distribution is the initial distribution of excitation energy and spin from which the deexcitation starts in the fusion-evaporation reaction. The initial distribution is extracted from measured -ray multiplicity and total -ray energy. This paper describes the details of the entry distribution method, and reports the first determination of the fission barrier heights of No, which is the heaviest nucleus whose fission barrier has been measured.

Tc, the daughter nuclide of Mo, is the most common radioisotope used in diagnosis. About 95% of Mo has been produced by the fission reaction of highly enriched U in research reactors in the world. We proposed a new route to produce Mo via Mo(n,2n)Mo using neutrons from an accelerator. We have performed all important steps necessary to obtain high-quality Tc using Mo, which was produced using fast neutrons from He (d,n)He. We showed that other medical isotopes, such as Y, Cu, and Cu, are significantly produced using accelerator neutrons.
